But I didn’t want the Tweets to appear in the main blog.

The combination of the Twitter Tools plug-in and the Sideposts plug-in did just that. With Sideposts, I can post into a category called “Sideposts” (or any other name), without those posts appearing in the main blog or the main feed. This is very convenient for creating posts such as blog editor’s notes on updates or other such things that may not be of interest to majority of blog readers. For example, if the blog focuses on say “travel,” then most visitors would not be interested in a discussion on WordPress plug-ins. That’s where a Sidepost kind of category comes handy.

In addition to that, Twitter Tools allow you to choose where the posts created from Tweets should go. So in my case, they go to the category “Sideposts.”

I use this category to post previews, notes about website upgrades, and other such things. Now, my Tweet posts appear there too.

I was looking for a way to create a Tweet whenever I post in my blog, and also to get record of my Tweets on…

[39
334
post-876","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","hentry","category-sideposts","tag-tweets","wpcat-39-id
["GET
