FIRST Lego League 2017/2018: Theme Hydrodynamics – All about Water

The FIRST Lego League (FLL) fever is on again! This year’s theme is titled Hydrodynamics: it’s about water — how we find it, how we use it and how we dispose it. As always, FLL has picked another great theme for this year’s competition.

At this point, team registration is open, and thousands of teams have already registered. Details of the robot challenge are still awaited — they are expected to be announced on the 29th of August — but there is enough the keep the teams busy until then; they are busy building their tables, and the models that go on the table, and coming to speed on what hydrodynamics is all about.

The mat and the graphics look bright and interesting, and the models are quite intricate, keeping up with the FLL tradition. Every year, FLL challenges young minds to learn about something that is very essential to our life on this planet, and water, that is so vital for life, is something that is going to generate a lot of interest and innovative ideas as the kids put on their thinking hats and get to work!

Watch this space for more details on this year’s challenges, project, rules and everything else that makes FLL such an exciting competition all over the world.
