The Calendar is probably the least used of the group features, but it is quite handy. If you have a forthcoming neighborhood group meeting, or may be a meeting with the representatives of your city NCW administration, you can send out an email announcement, and also mark the group Calendar. The Calendar event can be set up to send out automatic reminders to the group at selected intervals.
If your neighborhood group has any regularly occurring events, for example, bulk garbage pickup on the first Friday of every third month, then the group calendar feature can be useful to send out email reminders may be 1 week, 3 days and 1 day in advance.
